Samaritan Health Plans
If you are covered under one of these plans, I will bill insurance directly. You are responsible for any copay, coinsurance, or deductible required by your plan.

Out-of-Network Insurance
If I am not in network with your insurance, you may still be able to use your out of network benefits. Many plans allow reimbursement for sessions with a licensed therapist even if the therapist is not paneled with the company.
In this case, you would pay the full session fee at the time of service. I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement rates and deductibles vary widely depending on your plan.

It can be helpful to contact your insurance provider directly and ask the following:
-
Do I have out of network benefits for outpatient mental health therapy?
-
Is there a deductible that must be met before reimbursement begins? If so, what is the amount?
-
After the deductible is met, what is the reimbursement rate or coinsurance percentage?
-
What is the allowed amount for CPT codes 90791 and 90837?
Understanding these details ahead of time can help you make an informed financial decision.
